Financial Breakdown

We wanted to give a quick update on a few things! A few people have asked for a more clear breakdown of our financial needs.

As we get closer to our time of departure from Thailand, things are starting to get real! We are truly trusting God for provision of the many unknowns that lie ahead of us.

Here are a few of our most important needs:

1.       Shipping costs:  We are currently looking at $12,500 to ship 15 cubic meters of our things back to the US.  This does not include the insurance.  This could change depending on conditions in the Middle East. We are praying these prices go down.

2.       Though we are shipping some items, there is not room, even at this price to ship many large items. This means we will need to refurnish a house with chairs, couches, beds, etc. Pray that we will be able to find these items for reasonable prices.

3.       A House:  We are looking for a rental place that can temporarily serve our needs as we raise support, with the hope of eventually buying a house that we can use as a base for our ministry. We’ve been shown a few and are praying about those. Please be in prayer for that for us. We also have a dog that we are bringing back with us, which further complicates housing options.

4.       We are looking for a car that will last us a long time.  We are wanting a car that that has low mileage, gets decent gas mileage, has low maintenance needs and that is reasonably priced.  We have been looking at a distance (via car websites) at the Toyota sienna, Kia Carnival Hybrid, or similar vehicles.  Three row Hybrid SUVs are also on the table. If you know of any that would be available in Mid-June, please let us know.

5.       Our flight back to the US goes through Qatar and currently we are unsure of how the situation in the Middle East will affect that.  We are praying that the situation calms down so our flight is not affected. Bringing the dog back limits the airports we are allowed to fly through. Pray for wisdom as we navigate this complicated issue. (Bringing the dog is a non-negotiable for the transition and mental health of our family)

Most importantly we covet your prayers.  We are praising God that our current support is covering 3% of this monthly need, and we’re trusting Him to provide the rest. Our God owns the cattle on a thousand Hills and we know that he will provide all that we need.

1.       Salary/Housing/living – $6,443.44/mo

2.       Benefits (Health insurance, retirement, etc.) - $2,541.28/mo

3.       Ministry – $1,000/mo

4.       Admin fees – 866.96/mo

Total – $10,851.69/mo
