Big News!
September 2025
Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,
We are George and Stacy Weber, currently serving in Bangkok, Thailand. For the past 20 years, this city has been our home where we raised our family, taught and coached at the International Community School, served in our local church, and built lasting relationships across cultures. Through these years, we have had the privilege of sharing the gospel by living it out in community—through sports, discipleship, church involvement, and personal relationships with people from all over the world.
Now, after two decades of fruitful ministry, we believe God is calling us into a new season of service—and we would love to invite you to be a part of it.
A New Direction: Sports and Counseling Ministry with Live Global
In December 2024, a longtime friend and ministry leader at Live Global reached out to us with an opportunity to help lead the sports ministry arm of their organization. Initially, we declined. We weren’t looking to leave Thailand, our ministry, or the people we love. However, God continued to bring the opportunity to mind, and over time, we sensed Him inviting us—once again—to say “Yes, Lord, we will go.”
Beginning in 2026, George plans to step into the role of Sports Coordinator with ABWE/Live Global Sports,
- Serving national partners around the world.
- Help facilitate gospel-centered sports ministry by connecting international local leaders with U.S. based churches, professionals, colleges, and teams.
- Organizing sports camps, training coaches, helping launch sports outreach programs, and building long-term cross-cultural relationships.
George has long dreamed of developing a sports ministry on the mission field—this new role is a full-circle moment, bringing together his passion, experience, and calling.
Once she completes her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2027, Stacy plans to serve in a counseling ministry role,
- Focus on supporting missionaries and their families.
- Provide mental health care for those serving cross-culturally—many of whom face burnout, isolation, depression, or unresolved conflict.
- Support missionary families, MKs (missionary kids), and others facing transition or crisis, with the aim of helping them remain resilient and rooted in their ministries.
Counseling was listed as an area of need within Live Global, and we believe this is a providential convergence of calling and opportunity.
Together, we also hope to build a ministry presence among missionary and international students near Cedarville University in Ohio, where we will relocate in 2026. Living close to George’s parents will also allow us to help care for them during this season.
